To conveniently supersede the traditional BR halogen bulbs with superior performances like longer lifetime ( 35,000 hrs min. ), higher luminous efficacy, and lower environmental pollution, GlacialTech Inc. introduces the novel GL-BR30D Series LED Bulbs that use efficient 9W LEDs, feed on an AC input voltage of 90-132/180-264V , suit standard E26/E27 sockets, and apply to accent, local, or spot lighting.

In accordance with the electrical and mechanical characteristics of conventional BR halogen bulbs non-dimmable or TRIAC-dimmable, GlacialTech provides two preferable substitutes: the non-dimmable GL-BR30 Series and the TRIAC-dimmable GL-BR30D Series . The only thing users need to do is to directly replace their BR halogen bulbs with the corresponding GL-BR30 or GL-BR30D LED bulbs. By doing so, frequent bulb replacement is effectively eliminated; power consumption and carbon dioxide footprint are substantially reduced.

The GL-BR30D bulbs incorporate a patented LED driver intelligently detecting the input voltage chopped by a TRIAC dimmer and rectified by a bridge diode to fluently dim the LEDs. Based on this advanced technology, the GL-BR30D series offer two optional models: a low voltage model and a high voltage model respectively supporting 90-132V and 180-264V as well as individually compatible with a multitude of TRIAC dimmers commonly available in the markets . Distinguishable from the other TRIAC-dimmable LED drivers exhibiting flickering phenomena near terminal dimming, the patented LED driver built in the GL-BR30D bulbs still maintains smooth dimming down to complete darkness while the dimmer's conduction angle is being decreased to nil .
